Download your Framer site as HTML
Framer has no export button for your site. Paste the address of a published Framer site and get a ZIP with every page as HTML plus the images, fonts and CSS it uses, rewritten to local paths. Open index.html and the site looks the same with no internet connection. Handy as a record before a redesign, a client handover, a plan change or a domain move.
What's in the ZIP
index.htmland one folder per page: the offline copy, with scripts removed so it doesn't try to reach Framer.original/: each page's HTML exactly as Framer served it.assets/: images (every responsive size), fonts and stylesheets.manifest.json: the pages saved and anything we couldn't download.
Pages come from the site's sitemap.xml, so CMS pages such as blog posts are included as rendered HTML. The free tool saves up to 10 pages (30 MB) per run.
What it can't do
- Animations, forms, search and other interactive parts need Framer's JavaScript, so they are static in the copy.
- It isn't an editable Framer project, and HTML can't be imported back into Framer. To keep the editable canvas, see whole-site restore.
- Your CMS content is in the pages as HTML, not as data you can re-import. For that, use the free Framer CMS export (JSON and CSV).
- Only published Framer sites work, and only their public pages.
The guide to exporting a Framer site to HTML compares this with other ways to get your site out of Framer. Moving to other hosting? See the paid export tools compared.
What we store
Nothing. FrameVault reads the public pages, builds the ZIP and streams it to your browser. The copy is not kept on our side. Please only archive sites you own or have permission to copy.
A copy you can put back into Framer
An HTML ZIP shows what the site looked like, but it can't go back into Framer, and Framer's version history doesn't cover CMS items. FrameVault Pro saves the editable site every day (pages, layers, components, styles and CMS) and puts the whole site or one page back into Framer in one click, with Undo. It keeps a ZIP like this one of every page too. See how restore works or start a 7-day free trial.
