How to restore a deleted Framer page (and why Version History isn't enough)
If you deleted a page in Framer, Version History is the first place to look. It can get the page back if you act soon, but it works by copy and paste, not by restoring. A saved archive outside Framer is the second layer.
Restore the page from Version History
- Stop editing and do not publish. Every new snapshot moves you further from the version you want.
- Open the Framer menu (top-left logo), choose File, then Version History. The shortcut is Shift+Cmd+H on Mac or Shift+Ctrl+H on Windows.
- Pick a version from before the deletion. Framer takes snapshots every five minutes within the past four hours, hourly within the last 24 hours and daily after that, so older versions are further apart.
- Earlier versions are view-only. Find the page, copy its content, and paste it into the current version. Framer prompts you to update identical content.
- Check every breakpoint and link, then publish when it looks right.

Where Version History falls short
You rebuild by hand
Version History lets you copy elements out of an old version. It is not a one-click restore of a page, and the steps above are per page or per section.
Older snapshots are sparse
After 24 hours the snapshots are daily. A change made and undone in between may have no snapshot at all.
It lives in the project
The history is part of the project in Framer, so it is not an independent copy. Framer's article does not say how long old versions are kept.
CMS is not mentioned
Framer's article does not describe CMS content in Version History. Do not assume deleted CMS items come back this way; keep a separate CMS backup.
Restore from a FrameVault archive
On Pro, Studio and Agency, FrameVault saves the editable project and the CMS outside Framer on a schedule. Open an archive from before the deletion, pick the page, and click Restore. The page comes back with the CMS it shows and anything it uses that was deleted. FrameVault saves the current version first, and Undo puts the project back. Check the page in the editor, then publish. Site Settings, custom fonts and some Framer-plan features are manual steps; the Restore page lists them.
